It is no secret that I am less than thrilled with my kids' English curriculum. So when my daughter came home with something that sounded fun, I had to try it. This is a blackout poem made from a copy of a random page of 1984 by George Orwell that was turned into art. The art isn't great but it was done on purpose, it contains red, and it took more than 10 minutes. Yes, you can be horrified for her. She would appreciate it.

It is hard to read so here it is: Order with no reason was expected. Thousands of people disappeared.
