About Me
Physically, I am 50 years old. obviously. Emotionally I am about 4. After more than 30 years of depression, the last 5 being very severe, I found the cause was various autoimmune responses to gluten. I made 21 suicide attempts and was institutionalized 5 times. During my last stay, they threatened to permanently institutionalize me if I ever came back. I gave up gluten while on a waiting list for shock treatments as a last ditch effort. Now I run around like a child exploring the world for the first time.

As far as formal education, I have BA from Albright College in Political Science, a JD from Widener University School of Law (now Commonwealth Law School), and I went to a trade school for graphic design but I ran out of money before I could finish (unnamed because it no longer exists). I have had a large number of varied jobs - water ballet instructor, clown, pizza maker, transcirptionist, paralegal, realtor, retail, and currently I am a cook in the local school district. There were many more than this but too many to list. The job I am most proud of is being the fasted envelope stuffer in all of Harrisburg. I don't have a lot of jobs because I was bad at them, I just did a lot of temp work. For those not familiar, if you do a bad job on a temp assignment they never send you out again. Because of the time I took off to raise a son with autism and because of the mental health issues in the past, I am having a very hard time even getting an interview anywhere. I am hoping to go back to school to get my Master's in Social Work and become a therapist but earning $250 a week, I am beginning to doubt it will happen.

My sudden rediscovery of the world has also led to many hobbies and interests. I became a good cook when I gave up gluten because I like to eat and there aren't too many places where I can get safe gluten free food. It is even harder to find cheap gluten free food. Other interests are writing, photography, quilting, gardening, and research. By research I mean I look something up and that leads to another search and three hours later I think I have uncovered a secret plan for my parents to steal their grand kids and escape into Canada. I also love a good road trip and take many with my son, who is my very best road trip buddy ever.

Well, that is already more information than you probably wanted to know, so this is a good place to stop.
